With more than 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, Melonie brings a wealth of firsthand knowledge, destination expertise, and a genuine passion for travel to every journey she creates.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe and Botswana, Melonie developed a deep love for Africa, adventure, and the outdoors from an early age. Her career has taken her across seven African countries and throughout North America, where she has managed safari lodges, hotels, wildlife areas, and a golf course; operated an overland safari company; and developed operations for remote safari destinations.
Today, Melonie is a travel advisor, safari guide, and wildlife adventure travel specialist, designing personalized, tailor-made travel experiences. She is also the North American representative for Silver Africa Tours and Safaris, connecting clients with trusted expertise and exceptional safari experiences throughout Africa.
Her destination knowledge extends well beyond Africa, with expertise in India, South and Central America, Europe, Asia, and unique destinations such as Colombia, Borneo, Mongolia French Polynesia and River cruises worldwide.
Whether it’s a luxury African safari, an adventure through India’s jungles, or discovering a lesser-known destination, Melonie takes the time to understand each client’s interests, travel style, and expectations.
She believes the best journeys are thoughtfully planned while still leaving room for discovery. Her extensive experience in tourism, hospitality, guiding, and remote travel allows her to provide practical knowledge and personalized service from the first conversation through to the journey home.
Based in Canada with her husband, Melonie continues to travel, explore, and share her passion for the world through Global Journeys—helping clients experience destinations with confidence, authenticity, and a sense of adventure.
